Anusol HC is a very popular cream that has recently been changed to the name Tucks®. Most commonly, sufferers get their hands on this cream through prescription from their doctor. When the cream is prescribed by your doctor, a stronger, more potent, cream is optional – particularly useful for more severe cases of hemorrhoids.
Is it worth your time?
Now if you know me at all from reading Pilesfree.com you will know that I am not particularly in favour of pharmaceuticals in the best of times. One exception is when someone is suffering from a lot of pain and needs short term pain relief.
What are the drawbacks?
- Short term use only
- Treats the symptoms only
Short Term Use Only:
As I have just noted, hemorrhoid creams should only be used short term, but what do I mean by this?
The reason why Anusol should only be used short term is because it contains steroids to encourage tissue repair. While the level of steroids is relatively low, over time your skin becomes thinner – putting you at more risk to anal bleeding.
Note: Hemorrhoid cream is known to be good for hiding wrinkles, and while this is true, I don’t recommend it for the aforementioned reason. By using it on your face you will become more at risk to UV light – which can cause cancer.
Another reason why you will want to use it short term only is because
Treats the symptoms only:
For those who don’t know, ‘treats the symptoms only’ is code for ‘it doesn’t cure hemorrhoids’. Of course, that’s not what you wanted to hear but that’s the truth. You may have the impression that Anusol will cure your condition, and quite frankly companies market their products so that they ‘seem’ to do the impossible.
But in reality, Anusol, as well as other hemorrhoid creams, only treat the ‘symptoms of piles’ (link) not the foundations of the condition. While you can experience fast relief, you are at high risk again of developing hemorrhoids. This, of course is quite an advantage to the pharmaceutical companies because it means that you buy more of their products. However, it doesn’t fulfil on its advertised promise.
So what Do I Advise?
In you are in a lot of pain with your hemorrhoids then I encourage you to buy a cream. However, there is a completely different approach that I recommend, saving you wasted time and effort that pharmaceutical s afford you.
I encourage my clients and members to focus on their diet
Below this article you are going to see a promotion for my free diet book, My Kitchen Lab that you are welcome to for free. It details 49 remedies that you can implement into your diet, and at the end you’ll find a diet plan that you can use to organise everything.
The reason why I have adopted the diet methodology is because it is the tried and true method in curing hemorrhoids at the root level. And once cured, diet will ensure that you never suffer with hemorrhoids again.
If you are interested in buying Anusol here is the game plan that I would play by.
- Buy Anusol (or have a stronger cream prescribed by your doctor)
- Plan to use for a just a week, no longer.
- The day you get the cream, design your new diet (using the Pilesfree.com resources if you so wish)
- After a week see where you are at. If you have followed my advice and stayed with the diet you should most definitely be on the way up!
If you are still suffering at the end of the week perhaps go back and see your doctor or continue to use the cream. If your health has improved stick with the diet and go on daily walks of 30 minutes if you can.
